1980-84 sportswear/menswear Period

Tacchini young line polo,Tacchini track top,Braemar jumper,Adidas Trimm Trab and Lois jeans - Clothing was much more fitted with drainpipe jeans during the sportswear era.Peoples tastes varied and the selection shown here isn't meant to be a difinitive guide to what everyone wore at all,it's just a selection of some of the brands that were around during the early 80's.

1984-91 the Paninaro/post-paninaro years

Nike Internationalist,Boston Firenze jacket,Fiorucci sweatshirt,Et Vous green label jeans and Ricardo Bini shirt - Fairly typical sort of look around 1985 with jogging shoes largely taking over from tennis trainers and the Nike model shown here were very big all over the country especially during 84 and 85.No mention of this era would be complete without a shout to Fiorucci which was a very popular label as was it's subsidiary Classic Nouveaux.The Fiorucci jeans and sweatshirts were 2 of their better products.Loose fitting, usually hooded jackets were worn with baggy rather than straight leg jeans - these would be wider at the top and taper in to a more narrow bottom.Popular jean brands were Ball,Valentino,Armani,CI7,Liberto and Et Vous shown here.Again it simply isn't possible to show every single piece and designer and have just chosen a selection of brands to give an idea of what was around.
